The book addresses the most pivotal concepts in Taha Abdurrahman's philosophy, namely the concept of the human being, which encompasses several theories and concepts. He constructed his analyses based on them. The concept was split into two parts according to the criterion of reality and obligation: Taha Abdurrahman's analyses diagnosing the reality of the human being fall under what he termed the "actual human," while the foundational or aspirational analysis falls under the "obligatory human." The latter has three levels: the "ethical human," the "signs-based human," and the "fiduciary human." Subsequently, the applicability of the "concept of the human" in its two dimensions is examined within Islamic theology, with the aim of renewing it.
