An attempt to understand the relationship of the "Arab state" or the "Arab official system" with religion, while critically engaging with a number of secular propositions in this direction and seeking to grasp the dialectic of politics and religion, or what we call the "complex intertwining of politics and religion," from political/historical and philosophical/religious perspectives—touching upon the system of governance and control in Tunisia without neglecting to delve into the horizons of change. This unfolds across seven chapters, through which we strive to open new pathways in thinking, away from ready-made molds and prevailing schematic patterns, by crafting a writing pierced by complex ideas that blend the cognitive/objective with the intellectual/ideological.
