The novel "Al-Shallal" (The Waterfall) is the author Ahmed Daadosh's first step into the world of novel writing, following previous literary endeavors in the fields of stories, prose reflections, and poetic experiments, in addition to his other intellectual works. The author says that his novel is aimed at young people, especially lovers of adventure and fantasy. However, he denies categorizing it within the so-called mythical fantasy literature, as its events unfold between parallel worlds, incorporating some philosophical and religious dialogues, along with a journey through the beliefs of ancient peoples in Asia and the Americas. The narrative also intertwines events across other civilizational worlds, revealing multiple forms of similarity and contrast between ancient traditions and modernity, especially through the infusion of modern lifestyles with traditions and rituals borrowed from esoteric spiritualities.
