"The Number of Garments in the Systems of States" is a historical poetic work by the Andalusian writer Lisan al-Din ibn al-Khatib. It is an urjuzah (a type of poem) on Islamic history, consisting of 1,181 verses, covering the history of the Prophet, the Rightly Guided Caliphs, the Umayyad and Abbasid dynasties, and includes a brief commentary by the poet himself.
